Find a solid axle truck with similar engine in the junkyard and grab all the p/s parts, pump, box, hoses, brackets, pulley, etc. and put that stuff on your truck.

Should all bolt right up given the same engine and solid axle up front.

Put the stuff in the box below (plus the tensioner and bolt-on crank pulley):

on the engine and frame. The page below has a bit about how I pulled the stock p/s off mine:

off the top of my head I believe that there also needs to be a mounting bolt in the head for the PS pump mount.

This download: http://ncttora.com/fsm/1985/1985FSM_OCR.pdf is for the 85 Factory service manual but much of it will apply to 79-85 SA trucks

Any luck? I have an 84 that I would like to add power steering to and have an 88 parts truck. Would that PS pump work being for the newer torsion suspension not the solid front axle?

Assuming same engine, pump is the same between the solid axles and IFS. I ran my '85 p/s pump with an IFS steering box when I converted to crossover steering. You will need a solid axle p/s box and the hoses, reservoir, etc. to hook it all up.
