81 rear slider lock

I just bought a 1981 and it has been broken into through the rear slider, what is the best way to lock up the rear slider? The latch that was on it is currently broken off and it does not close at all at the moment.

Does it just bolt right up? I haven't taken the old lock off yet but it looks like I just take off 2 screws correct?

Maybe you could buy 2 of these and bolt them to the sides of your sliding windows and then put a padlock on em on the inside. Just make sure you can't undo the bolts from the outside.

Those things always break and a new one won't keep someone from breaking in. It would be nice if there was something better to use...but yeah, it's annoying to have that thing keep creeping open. I had to buy one for my truck also. Used is the way to go. I think they're around $50 from the dealership. Somebody needs to make an all metal one...
