This pile of junk and some other stuff will hopefully be going up front in the next few weeks:
(Trail Gear Winch mount, yes it will be welded to the frame since it is for 84-89's)

I would have love to ordered a Marlin Front bumper but they could never say when they would be able to ship one

Guess this stuff isn't really the coolest, but it works(will work) for me...

Here's mine. Tied into an exo, has a winch on it now, D-rings on each side.

Marlin Crawler is about the only one that does, but I just could never get an answer when they would be able to ship a front bumper. I had my rear bumper with in 3 days of placing the order...

Thats what I thought. Marlin's rear is cool but the last time I ordered something on a hot timeline I got the same thing you did and I'm a vendor who spendt thousands a month with them. I have since limited what I get there. Soooooo what do we want in a first gen p/u bumper front and rear?

The guy who built mine could take care of you. He's in Elk Grove and works from home. His products are custom made to fit your rig and you can make whatever tweaks you want to the design. Here's a photo of an 83 Yota that he just finished 12/22/07..

Close to the bump on my rig except for no welded D-rings or roll pan below the winch plate.

That doesn't look too bad! Just put some cardboard in the lower parts, and get some bubble gum and popsicles to hold it all together

Had a plate bumper originally. The following url will give you the specs: http://rockalot.net/bumper.html

Here's my old rear bump, pretty much the same today with a few mods to it...

No winch on that bumper. I was going for a better approach angle so I was using a receiver mounted winch. Easy to add a winch though. Just notch it out, add a mount plate and gusset the bottom.
