Anyone done this? Not sure if 84-88 would be easier? Or 89-95? I'm sure someone has, as many rusted out beds as there are on the first gens. Pics would be extremely helpful, measurements would be amazing. Thanks.

 

Well I found another thread, seems like they both bolt up with slight mods and the 3RD gen looks better.

basically 79-95 beds are interchangable .. with some differances including bed lines, bed width , fuel filler mount , and bed mount . ALL can be modified if you want to

When you search all that comes up is 8 million threads on someones 22RE even if you type in BED

 

Do an advanced search titles only, this will bring better results

 

just by copy and past your title into the search .. I come up with 6 different threads .. dont have time to do a "screen shot" as supper is on the table

As said yes it can work I did a simple search here and on google. I found plenty of info . I find it amazing no matter how many forums I join ( which are well over 25 and under the same sn) so many people do not search. Just don't understand why. I for one love the linea on my 79 bed. I am looking into repairing the few small bad spots I have just so I can keep it
