I have a 20R engine in my Toyota Pickup.
So, I did my research and managed to sort out what I need if I want to have A/C in my truck. I received a compressor and all the brackets I need, or I think all the ones I need, to get it mounted. The issue is that I can't figure out how to mount this bracket onto my engine. I have the air pump currently installed, and I was wondering if anyone out there has a 20R engine with the compressor or at least just the brackets mounted onto the engine. Pictures or just general guidance would be tremendously helpful.
Another thing that might be important to note is that I got this bracket from a 20R that was in a 1978 Toyota Celica. The below image shows what I currently have, circled in red.
Does anyone have their compressor set up on a 20R engine? I've been trying to get the bigger bracket to fit, but I am essentially flying blind. Any help at all would be awesome.
Does this pic help. This is for a 4 through bolt mounted compressor and it rotates on the lower through bolt in the mount for belt adjustment. The bracket you show above has the compressor mounted via through bolts either the top or bottom lugs and the compressor rotates on those two bolts for belt adjustment. I fab'ed a mount bracket for this type of mount when I added a/c to my truck. Guess need a pic of what type compressor you have and go from there
Sorry for the delay, I was trying to find the bracket and finally found it, unfortunately, it doesn't look like the picture. Here is what the one I have looks like:
