1st Gen with 32" tires?
Anyone running 32s on their 1st gen? I'm looking at getting some Interco TSL Bias (SAM-38) 32" x 9.50s and wondered if anyone can post a picture of what yours looks like with 32's under it.
Will they fit with stock suspension/steering linkage? I'm already guessing it will go from slow to uberslow..
Thanks!

I've got 33's on mine but I have a lift as well. I don't think you'd have issues with the diameter of the tires but on the rear axle you have to watch out for the back spacing. Mine are awefully close to the frame rail so if you do much wheeling you could end up rubbing the frame, but if that happens you just need to get some wheel spacers, and ya it'll be slow as hell.(like they're not already lol)

Thanks all.. I'll let you know/post pics when something happens. I think 32"s will be big enough, and yet the truck will still be usable as, well, a truck
Maybe AFTER the 3rz I'll go bigger than 32''s!
I need to update my build thread..

Thanks so much for posting those pics. I'm jealous..
Good news on the tire front! A local automotive shop i've known for years is actually a dealer for Interco Tires. The owner has been close friends with Dave the owner of Interco. Interco swiched manufacturing facilities and their production was down for several months. Some of the smaller production lines are still on national backorder ;( 32 x 9.50s being one of them.
But.. The shop owner just put in an order for some 53"s that Dave is making for him, for ths wild power wagon he's building. Consequentially, the owner is giving me his 31x10.50 TSLs next week!
Anyone know the feasibility of fitting 10.50s on stock steelies? I want to keep the steelies in action!

I run 33x10.50s on stock 15x6 wheels:

Taking a look at the current backspacing of the rim, it seems like the the extra width would be better suited all on theoutside, rather than split between the inside and outside of the wheel. Do you not rub pretty bad in tight turns? I'm imagining the spri g packs ripping off tire nobbys!

Those TSLs tend to run on the narrow side, so a 10.50 TSL can be narrower than a 10.50 BFG. But yes, on stock '85 and older axles, you can be a little tight against the springs up front and the frame in back. I used to run 1/4" wheel spacers front/back when I had the stock axles to help with that.

So, the stock steelies are actually 15x5.5! And the TSLs I got are 31x11.50s. They actually only measure 10" wide. On the sidewall it calls for a 15x9 rim, but that seems way to wide. A 15x8 would probably be perfect, but i'm going to get some 15x7"s. Considering the stock offset, i measured for a 7" wide rim, and an inch and a half negative offset is about perfect. Now, all the 15x7 aftermarket cheapies out there are 0 offset. Which means i would have to run spacers, and i would rather not have to.
Two questions..
1. Does anyone know the correct hub center bore for toy axles?
2. Has anyone found 15x7 rims with negative offset? I considered some 1st gen 4runner rims, but i'm pretty sure those have positive offset.
Thanks!

No help here, but here's my 4x2 with 32x11.50s.
I figure with the 3" body lift it's right around a stock height 4x4. Some minor fender trimming and they don't rub. And no flaming please, it's my beater/parts runner...I'm well aware of the rediculousness lol.

I've got 265/75 R16's, which equates to about 32". I don't have a photobucket account, but if you look at the pictures I have posted on my Yotatech album, they look pretty good. I have them on wheels from a newer 4 runner with 1.5 in. wheel spacers. Best mod so far!
