1980 Pickup 4x4 22r not making power.
What else can I say. New Alternator (tested and works), new IC Regulator, new battery. The excitement wire is getting power and gives power to the alternator, but still seems to not be turning on and charging. I know that there are three wires coming off of the alternator (yellow, green, and white/black). I think I’m good on grounds, the main ones seem to be connected pretty well. Any advice would be nice.

Well, yes. The Alternator isn’t powering the motor (engine dies when battery is disconnected). I am trying to find the fuseable link to the alternator right now but can’t seem to locate it. Even then, why would it matter? Battery volts measure 12.6 and then battery to alternator also measures 12.6… I think there’s something wrong with the three wires that come off of the alternator. Maybe the alternator doesn’t know it’s supposed to be charging? I have no idea anymore.

If the alternator has battery voltage at the alternator's terminal B, the alternator isn't charging the battery. Alternator, or the wire from terminal B to the battery, is bad. The plug on the back of the alternator should indeed have battery voltage on the two white wires. One tells the alternator the battery voltage, and how "hard" it should charge the battery. The lower the battery voltage, the greater the voltage on Terminal B should be to compensate. Since the terminal B wire should go direct to the battery + terminal, the voltage should be much higher than regular battery voltage with the truck running.
Is that any help?
