What do you use to organize your tool box?
Time to show them off lady's..garages,portable tool boxes, bags, cases and even karts..So far all ive seen for sockets is either the metal strip where you can pop them on there or the foam where you have to cut it to hold all your tools which looks great too. Lemme see those pics..

Great thread but i meant how are your tools organized in your tool boxes and stuff not what tools do you carry.. Im about to start to peice together my tools (Becomming an A&P) AVIATION MAINT. ohh and i get 50% off snap-on tools so if you guys need a couple crazy expensive snap-on tools.. let me know.. i cant buy you the whole damn store but small kits or sets of something. They have a bad ass cordless impact gun that Im DEF. gonna get. But i think imma just stick with Craftsman for all the other regular tools.. their just easier to return..
i'm an A&P mech for "The" airline in ATL. trust me when i say buy the real good stuff, mac, snap-on, s&k, matco. they're made to tighter tolerances, the chrome doesn't chip off, and they don't break. the Crapsmans stuff isn't made the way it was 20 years ago. at home i need to have doubles of everything just incase the sears stuff breaks which it often does. i'll get some pics of my airplane tools in there drawers in the morning and the sweet tote tray i built from alumnium.

crapsman tools are ok in the begining, and they're great for at home.

At work we color code everyones tools, my tool color happens to be white. Our cash control department gives us all thier old money bags. I use them for sockets 1 for 1/4 &3/8 and another for 1/2 and the bags happen to be white. I also use wrench wraps to keep the wrenches in order. I keep two of every wrench and don't bother with the crossover metric/standard sizes (like 9/16 and 14mm).
No pics so visualize a 6x10 money bag with a zipper.

Here is the tote tray i made from 2024-t3. the handle and drawer are made from a Corian type counter top material.
In the drawers in the tool box i've used rubber mat,and other material that was used to ship parts in.
