Uh, no.
Besides it being fraud....why the hell would Snap-on warranty a tool box just because of some dents?
they may buy it back in exchange for credit, but they aren't going to give you a free new one, or even money back.

Snap-On will likely not cover damage by a third party. I shipped my almost brand new, but perfect condition Snap-on box, from San Diego to NC and somewhere in transit they used a forklift to move it. When it arrived at the dealer someone in parts checked it in. Two days later I arrived at the dealer and the bottom of my box was crushed and I had two bent casters. Snap-on would do nothing, nor did I really expect them too. I took it up with the shipping company A.B.B. and they gave me some crap like someone in parts signed for it, so it was ok when it arrived. That person who checked it in should have been shot on the spot. It was a 3 month old box. After a month of complaining I got $500 from the shipping company, which I used in paying off my box. I removed the drawers, flipped the box upright and proceded to beat the box back too normal. It still wobbles when it rolls and I have to put a spacer under one caster to get it to to sit right. Pissed me off. Still a great box though, I personally like Matco boxes better.

WOW, I cant believe that guy signed for it. The other thing I cant believe is you left the building with it! I would have taken up the damage with him and the dealership, regardless of what you got from the shipping company for it would be my little secret. Complain, YELL, boycott the store with picket signs, anything it took for them to buy me a new box.. I mean, it was his negligence that cost YOU the box, hence the store is responsible as he is THEIR employee..
I once stood in a dealership who rebuilt some of my race shocks completely wrong and wanted to charge me for it, even though my initial estimate and setting paper work was perfect and told anyone who came in the door how incompetent they where for 2 hours before they finally called the cops at which point I then sent about 10 of my friends in 1 at a time until they paid me in full for my deposit and fixed my shocks.
Just saying, for him being an idiot, you now have a broken box, and you rolled over about it.

ive heard from many people that snap on are just overpriced crapsman tools (which i use crapsman and matco, have a couple items from snap on, but the snap on truck doesnt come by my work much, so yeah). personally i prefer craftsman tools, since theyre cheaper than matco or snapon, have the same warranty, and if i break one, i dont gotta wait for the truck to come by to replace it. when it comes to boxes i love matco boxes, you can load like 300 pounds of tools in the drawers and they still open easily, craftsman you have to jiggle it and pull it hard to get it to come out. but ill stick with craftsman boxes, since im not a full time mechanic, and have no use for a 8000 dollar tool box

Snap On is only as good as your dealer!!!
I had a great relationship with my dealer till he got out to venture into other business areas . i had no problems . The person that bought his route doesn`t want to bother because of my unpredictable road jobs..
i had no issues with any problems I had new motor for Air Compressor . I was also given a credit what it would have cost to have someone come out and swap the motors.
Ratchets swapped over the years broke screw drivers, tool box locks ,.
If your friend bought the box and it came with dents the issue should have been addressed then not a year later .
i am sure if you ask your dealer and you don`t want the box He might want to take it on consignment most times people are always looking for used boxes. then again that can be a regional thing.
How could you have a box and not use it for something I just bought 2 Snap On roller boxes used and all ready they are full .
*** I have to talk to the guys once in a while to remind them to look at what they sign for. As they are responsible. Having them work a day to pay for something they should have looked at gets there attention for awhile
A little late now but those little one use cameras are great for shipping damage

Some tools you can only get from snap-on in my experience... they have great quality and the benefit is they come to you... sears/CT all stand behind their stuff very well too but you have to go to them when something breaks.
On the boxes I don't think anyone warranties their boxes that well... If a slide breaks or something they will get you a new one but damage from moving would not be covered... who ever signed for it was a boob who had no business accepting it in the first place since it was not company material.
Up here they do take back used boxes and factory blems and make them available to the dealers who can bring in favoured customers to look at them and buy at a small disc. but they are all sold with no warranty attached.

My Snap On tool box is over 20 years old. The sliders were messed up & they replaced them all under warranty.
Also a co-worker has a tool box that almost 30 years old & when he's rolling his tool box across the floor sometimes a wheel catches a crack in the floor & the tool box wheel stops but the upper part of the box flexes (basically some of the spot welds have broke). Since the shop he works at doesn't have a Snap On dealer I talked to my rep & he said they would give him a new tool box. He won't turn in the claim to them cause he fells bad. Oh' well, his loss.
