most popular bending dies

what are you guys using (size/radius) , and what are you using them for.

sliders, bumpers, cages, racks, tire carriers...etc.

im thinking 1, 1.375, 1.5, and 1.625 or 1.75...

sound right?

wow, thats a grand just in dies, I split a 1.5/5.5 rad./120* die with a friend and thats all i need for my 1.5 dom

You probably only need 1.5 and 1.75. I don't know anyone with 1 3/8 or 1 5/8. I have 1, 1.25, 1.5, 1.75 and 2 - I haven't used the 1 or 1.25 yet though. You typically want to get the tightest radius available for a given die.

right. i ordered the 5.5 radius for the 1.5" die. should be fine right?

i didnt want to be 100% restricted on my wall thicknesses is why.

The only restriction on wall thickness is you can't do THIN walls with a tight radius (or it will wrinkle). Thick is no problem.

the dies are made so that if its says 1.5 in die that is the inside diameter of the material and most are made to acomadate up to 1/4 sidewalls do really a 1.375 would do no good or 1.625

right i didnt want to be restricted on how thin i could go. at least not 100% restricted.

and 1.5 is the OD.

These are tube dies, not pipe.
