98 Toyota 4runner problems

Hello I have a 98 Toyota 4runner 6 cylinder 4x2 . I was jumping someone at the store cables connected to my battery they accidentally touched the ends of the cable they was holding sparks and my runner died. No spark and no power to fuel pump. Replaced ECM, and fuel pump, fully removed the vip security system no change, it still turns over and that's all. I don't know what else to do, or change. Something happened right after the cables touched I seen it spark when they touched, I looked back at my runner and it died. All fuses have been checked and relays they are all good. Thanks for the help

have you checked the fusible link? it's the big white wire coming from the positive battery terminal to the engine bay fuse box

Red face

Time to break out the meter !!!

Just how did you check the relays??

You tested all the fuses with your meter??

Burnt wire some place.

So just how did you figure out the ECM and Fuel Pump were bad??

When you had no voltage to the fuel pump.

You went with new parts out of the box??

Just why did you do touch your positive cable to your negative cable??

Something is open someplace you just have not found it yet
