Testing my 32" Roughrider AT's

Trying out new AT's

All this mud was only in 2wheel. Yes it was on lte side of a farmers lane, but the mud in the ditch was good and thick....

Hey, do those 32-inchers rub in the front at all? I have my t-bars cranked about half a turn more from the factory plus heaver duty springs in the back (about a 1.5 lift all around, I figure). I just might be able to run those 32 when Cdn Tire has a special on them.

i think you might even be able to run 33's (depending on wheel backspacing) with that setup.. as far as i know stock 2nd gens can run 32x12.5's without any rubbing. (just what i've read)

I have no rubbing at all except on the bent up front valance (which all I need to do is either remove it or replace it. I figure I can probably run 33's without rubbing (at all or too much) My truck is stock, so I guess I'll see next time I need new tires....

And I pretty sure the stock 7" rims are ok. I've seen 6-inch rims with 31s on older Toyotas and Nissan Pathfindiers.

I dont know how you people arent rubbing at all with 32's on stock ride height... I have 32x11.50r15's on my truck and i had to trim the rear of the front fender well, and with the tires completely cranked, when i flex the truck out it still rubs sometimes. It isnt bad it is just a little bit on the plastic lining, but it does rub... Also, they fill the wells really well...

See...

I'm gonna take a few fresh pics just to show the clearance I have. I expect a bit of rubbing but I have the same truck as you Steve -- I think I have a bit more with my springs....

4 Runners must have a bit more clearance.... Like I said the only rubbing I have is at that bent front valance.... Here are a few more pictures showing clearance.....

There is 13.5" from rim to fender in the front, and 10.5" in the rear....

Now I need to take care of my saggy ass syndrome....

Those are 2 different brands of tires and most likely 2 different sizes although both are " 32" tires"

Very true, that is actually probably the reason why mine rub and yours dont. My BFG's are probably bigger, eventhough they are both 32's. And i dont think that the 4runner has bigger wells, they are the same exact fender from the truck to the 4runner.

The tires are probably the biggest difference. I don't think the wells are different, just the height at which the truck rides. What is your fender to rim clearance?

I dont know, ive never measured it. I guess the truck rides stock height, i highly doubt that the previous owners cranked the torsion bars... They didnt do much of anything...

Mine rubbed on the valence also, so I bent the corner inwards at first, then I just ripped the damn thing off. Glad I did.

Yeah, I intend to do that this weekend.

Yeah, the one is still holding air. I'm going to trim that plug up some more. I'd hate to rip that thing off in the trails.
