stuck a stick in the ruts to see how deep they were. only went in about 8 inches and 2 of that was muck. when the tjm went in, just raked its way down to about 15" of pure crap. had to laugh about it as i new better! just wanted to get one last venture in before i deploy

youre lucky you didnt get too much farther in that pit, theres a good size boulder in the middle of it.

How close are you guys to Hilo, HI.... I've got a job i'm looking at out there, glad to know there are spots to go wheeling!

crap its a whole different island. Do they offer like ferry boats or somethign to get you from one island to another with your vehicle?

there will be a ferry supposedly by 2009 -- its been delayed year after year for a few reasons, mostly because the channel between big island and maui is rough and to cross it you have to time it right.

 

The Ferry is going to be bad ass. I gotta go wheeling when I get back home.
