oh... someone, i think rocket, posted a picture of a BCC bumper, but it was some picture reading "have a gay day!" and i assumed it was because BCC doesnt allow people to take pics from their site.

guess rocket deleted his post...

Yep, sorry bout that. When i first posted it, the picture showed up just fine but the next day it was gone and replaced with "have a nice day". It was actually linked from WATTORA and not BCC.
anyhow it was picture #95 ...this should work: http://www.wattora.com/gallery/album60/DSC02499

Check out the Nov/Dec '05 issue of 4Wheel Drive Toyota Owner Magazine, http://www.4wdtoyotaowner.com/
they had an article on water crossings, and the author has a trick for judging water depth. He claims that if you throw a rock the noise it makes hitting the water will indicate its depth. I don't have the mag handy, but he swears by the trick, says he's used it to ford water all over the world. BTW, the magazine is awesome and I highly recommend a subscription.

Thanks, Spindle! Yes, the trick he mentioned is when you throw a rock into the water, if it makes a "sploosh" sound it is over two feet deep while a "clack" sound means under two feet (total general rule of thumb here, your mileage may vary!)

Cheers,

Dave

Here is the only picture I have right now. I need to pull some from the video I have of Lingham Lake, so I can get a deeper one. (front bumper is under water) But for now this one will have to do...

Here is the best I could get....

Well, seems that's just what I do...no foul implications...just apparently fashionably late. But eh...I'm important enough, they'll wait for me. lol
