We all took on water. Not too much and NO hydrolock
It was much deeper and colder than we thought. It was not the smartest thing, looking back on it, but it was a hell of a story.
The taco has about 3" of lift and 31s too.

Here's one that didn't quite make it...
That's "Swampthing" aka Cody (on here as snwbrdpunk16). Browse about 1/2 way down this page to find more shots, and then keep wandering for other folk's pics of the fun.
We pulled him out, I pulled his intake & plugs, dribbled some oil into the cylinders, cranked it a bit, shot water out of #3 & #6, put the plugs back in, crossed our fingers and... with a huge column of water out of the exhaust, it started.

Oh... an "old local standard" around these parts is Rob ("WATRD"): http://www.watrd.com/
I don't want to link past the frames on his website, so if you hit up "Photos" then "Tahuya 06/11/2005", you'll have some "classic plumage" shots kinda' like Bassinfool posted above. Like this:

Well turboale doesn't come around these parts too often so I'll post one up for him. Pretty popular pic around YT. Not a river, but same idea.
And here's a couple Jeep guys that attempted to cross the river.

damn those last pics make me cringe. im getting a snorkel soon but for those of you who ford water often, do you just say what the hell and go for it without knowing how deep it is? or get out and wade in it? whats the procedure there if any? i wouldnt mind a *little* water getting in the cabin but im not in the mood for turning the cabin into a pool.
