AZ - Hackberry Creek Trail

Trail Report and pictures from Hackberry Creek. Myself and Westy44runner ran this trail twice earlier this year. We had so much fun the first time out here, and saw how many more trails there were to be explored, that we went back out the following weekend and did another section of Hackberry Creek.

There are many routes, bypasses and varying terrain with some incredible views, including that of Devils Canyon. This area is also home to some world class rock climbing.

Rock Slab - about 50 yards long and 20 degrees steep.

That is a kick ass looking trail, guys! I've been down to Lower Devils several times to climb -- I'm wondering where this trail hooks in to that area? Looks like there are some great formations and routes that are easily accessible from the road. Do you guys climb? If so, we'll have to head down there and rope up for a few routes.

There are several trails and access points into this area. Magma Mine road and the Powerline trail, via Apache Leap to name some.

There are some great trails in this area, with varying difficult from 3-4.5 or so. No, I have havent ever rock climbed. If some are interested in running a couple trails out here, I would be willing to lead a group. Let me know. The trails are located just southeast of Superior off the 60 highway. 32-33s, rear locker and sliders should have no problem.
