E Locker ECU

I just got back from the wreck-yard with a rear E-locker (1998, 4.30) and a front third (1992, 4.30 to match),...$300. With the rear third I grabbed the rear harness and the ECU at the drivers' kickpanel. I followed all the wires up to this box, so I am 90% sure this is what controls the E-locker.
I have searched everywhere for info on this 1998 4runner ECU, and can't find anything.

Can anyone help me identify it, and some of the 19 wires going into it?

I am sure that some of the 19 wires go to speedometer, 4Lo circuit, etc, which I will not hook up, but looking at the wire colors coming from the diff harness, only one seems to be present in this ECU harness, Blue-yellow.
There is a Gr wire thicker than all the rest on the end, I assume that is power IN. Everything else,...I have no idea.

I have had that that page bookmarked for a couple weeks, and it's good stuff, just uses a different ECU than what I pulled from my donor.
It seems that every write up, guys have a black cased ECU for the locker with only 8 or 10 leads. Mine has 19, and a different part# that what I see listed in peoples' materials lists. Mine is part# 89533-35150.

The "ECU" for my swap was black and labeled "ABS." It's actually a relay box if I am not mistaken. Anyway, it looks like what you grabbed is the ECU for the push-button 4WD. Unless you go homemade or aftermarket, I am pretty sure the black box is what you are going to need...

That could very well be. I'm not planning on going back to the wreck yard as it is 110 miles away.

There was another box on the passenger side labeled ABS, but it was nearly identical in construction, color, bracket, etc, as the one I grabbed out of the drivers' side. In other words, I looked all around the kickpanels for a black box, and didn't see anything.

im still usure as to why anyone would have to have the elocker ecu if they were retrofitting on a tacoma or something. why cant you just wire it with a relay and switch?

'98's don't have push-button 4WD, but it's probably the computer for controlling the ADD.

Because it's nice to have feedback on whether it's locked or not, and you can't just turn the solenoid on because it will overheat by trying to run all of the time. If you go with a relay, you have to use a set up like the one laid out in Bob_98SR5's thread about an e-locker retrofit.

right so you could have a momentary swith and then a light that would tell you if it were on.

i couldnt find it in his thread, what page was it on?
