N8 , im a fan of your work the 4runner looks great . ive done John Bull on 30" but locked at both ends ,armor. skid plate and trans mount were destroyed and clutch smoked ,idler arm wasted, and lite body damage . fun as hell though!i have an idea for a better stearing set up ,and i would like to here your opinion before attempting this ,

So much nicer with the new tires. Drove to Corona today to do some business with Yotamasters. Freeway in the rain with new rubber sure much better than bald project tires.
Here are a couple of comparison before and after photos.

And a couple I took in process of the switch.

Update for for January 2017. I mounted up this old Pro-Comp skid plate. Its for a 4" Drop Bracket Lift so it doesn't quite fit but I got it to mount up. It hangs a little low so it will get banged up pretty quickly. Its also 1/16" thick aluminum plate so it more of a cosmetic thing.

I saw this SAS 1st gen 4 Runner parked on autoshop row. I just took a quick photo so I don't know the details but it looked like typical IFS eliminator kit with high steer. Rear springs were some type of long leaf. He was lower in the rear and higher in the front than me. I noticed the bump and bump pad were about 1" apart. Not much up travel but I bet it has some droop.
