Chevota cam install!!!!
so i have been having issues on my 1990 chevota backfiring up through the carb. i checked for vacum leaks, vacum lines,
checked carb, fuel pressure(fuel pressure regulator), spark, installed new hei distributor from points dist. i finally pulled
my valve covers and found cam lob on #1 cylinder exhaust side not moving, explains backfiring up through the carb witch is exhaust coming up trough the carb, i got a new cam and lifters and already have my radiator, fans and water pump removed, i am gonna attempt to install cam through front of engine with out removing engine from 4runner, by the way my engine is a small block 350, i will post pictures soon......

Should be easy if your remove the radiator
What kind of milage are you getting out of the 350 with carb and 700r4, I'm considering doing this and then adding TBI at a later date, I seriously could switch the carbed 350 in on a Saturday and some of Sunday with the lift and tools I have, whereas the FI would take alot longer, I really want a Vortech 350 or a 5.3 out of a newer truck.
let me know, I get about 13-15 out of my current 3vz on 33's and 4.56's.
