New Arb Bumper
Hey I am a newbie to the Forum and I know this questions has most likely been asking 100 times on this site, I just recently purchased a ARB Bull Bar for my 2002 Tacoma for 400.00 on Ebay. It was NIB. Anyways my buddy and I are going to put it on my truck along with some sliders I purchased from the same guy that are weld on. But in regards to the bumper does anyone have or know any sites for instructions on how to install one of these bumpers on my Tacoma? All replies will be greatly appreciated.

Smart move getting the ARB for your truck. It was the one addition I loved on my '05 Tacoma (still regretting trading it in )
Anyway in the past I have had good responses from the tech department at ARB. Email them: tech@arbusa.com
This install Thread from Expeditions West should also help you out.
some recommend some frame reinforcement too:

Good luck, I put mine on in about 4 hours by myself at 20*, good time
oh and be prepared for your front end to settle after a little while with the additional weight up there, especially if you add a winch...

Thanks
Thanks Ocdropzone for the quick reply and helpful information. My friend and I are anxious to get the ball rolling on this project. Also do you know how much my front suspension will settle and will it be enough to notice. Also if it is really noticable would a stiffer suspension system be recommeded? I anticpate on getting a Suspension down the rd.
Thanks

Hi, congrats on your deal on your arb.
I have a 85 and plan on getting a winch down the road on a arb.
Do you think frame re-enforcment is neccesary on a 85? Its a different frame though, which one is more stout?

you will notice it sitting lower... and when you do get around to getting a lift of some sort and if you get ome (old man emu) springs go with the 882's or 883's. some will say to get the 881's but with the weight of the bumper go for the other choices...

My '05 probably ended up settling an inch or so, I had stock springs with some Daystar spacers. If I had kept the truck I would have done a set of OME springs.
Biggest thing was trying to get it to align side to side. With two people that should be pretty easy. I think it weighed around 110-120 lbs...

I have an ARB on my 85 and as long and all your mounting points are good it should be fine. This thing has 12 bolts holding it on.

Bumper Prices
ozziesironmanoffroad :
I know I have seen the ARB Bumpers retail from in the upper 700 range all the too 1000 range. I just lucked out on the one I found on Ebay. Luckily the guy wanted to do local sale only because he did not want to have to ship it. Otherwise I am sure it would have been bought for the price it was going for long before I stumbled across it. As far as the Lockers go I have never really researched them, my truck came with a stock rear locker so I have never taken the time to look at them.
