that didnt make me feel like an idiot haha thanks.
edit: yeah that didnt work. i'm pretty sure it has to do with a seal because it starts fine and then shakes a little while its dying. i put silicone all over the seal last night, but it didnt work so i'm back where i started.

i went back and tightened EVERYTHING super super tight and then it ran almost perfect...it was idling at around 1000 (yes thats high) and then it slowly dropped until it was revving itself to keep going at 400 rpms. now when i turn it on (the engines heated up now)...the only thing it does is stutter at that low range. what happened?

all i can say is take everything off, put back all the stock components and fire it up...if it runs redo the isr mod, but at least you will know its not anything else, and you may catch your mistake

good news! i found and fixed the problem!
i decided to finally be smart and follow godzilla's advice. so as i was taking the pipe off, i found a tear in the rubber seal at the throttle body end of the pipe. No wonder it wasn't working, this hole was about an inch long. I also realized i had overlooked it because it was partly under the hose clamp thing (i'm blankin on the name at the moment). I went and got a new one, fired it up, and bam! worked like a charm.
thanks for everyone's help

Quick question for you
Is the bend of the pipe you used to do your ISR a 45 degree bend in one plane?
When I did my mock up ther ewas about a 45 degree bend then a 15 degree bend in another plane.
Did you use 3" pipe or 2.75" pipe?
Thanks!
