Leaf Spring Options

I was talking to a buddy today about his FJ40 and future suspension plans. His plans were to run FJ60, rear springs all around. 3-4"s of lift, ridiculous articulation for cheap on a spring over.

My question, is there any common junkyard leaf to run on a 1st Gen 4runner to give a me a extra 2-3"s and clear 33" tires without having to move mount points other than maybe the far front 2. Chevy? I kind of want to keep her all Toyota, I'm OCD.

As for the front end I believe rear up front would be your best option. This also moves your axle forward and helps clear larger tires.
Maybe someone else with more knowledge will chime in

Stock rears are a little low, but up front they might be perfect, huh? BRILLIANT! Anybody else run a random set up (not off the shelf?)

I hear they give around 2 to 3 inches of lift depending on the spring pack used.
For the rear I cant think of anything toyota. But I have heard of many using chevy 63s. They are also supposed to give 2-3 inches.

What do the chevy 63s come off of? I need to measure the fj60 springs. This was all sparked tonite.

1988 to 1998 rear Chevy leafs. Some have 3 in the leaf packs and some have 4 in the leaf packs.

dont bother looking for toyota springs to put under your truck except for rears up front, even though the newer toyotas have longer springs, there is a reason no one uses them.

Can't you just get springs that are slightly "longer" than whats on now so you have more "loop"?
