Need old RAM (PC132)

My sons 1.7 GHz P4 XP system uses old style RAM.
He has 512 MB now, 2 x 256 MB.
One more slot is open in his, and it takes SDRAM PC132 (133 speed) 168 pin.

Anyone have some extra they would like to sell?

Formatted his system yesterday, and it is running pretty fast for an older rig.
Some more RAM will wake it up even more.

Thanks,

I'd be willing to bet that the chipset does not support more than 512MB that is already in there. Check the manual before buying more RAM.

Already looked at the website for the mobo, and it will support up to 3 GB of RAM with XP it says.

It is an Intel chipset.
http://support.intel.com/support/mot...esktop/d845wn/

3.3 V (only) 168-pin SDRAM DIMMs with gold-plated contacts
Unbuffered single-sided or double-sided DIMMs
Maximum total system memory*: 3 GB with 3 DIMMs (using 512 MB technology); minimum total system memory: 32 MB
133 MHz SDRAM DIMMs only
Serial Presence Detect (SPD)
Suspend to RAM support
ECC and non-ECC DIMMs
* The Intel Desktop Boards D845HV/D845WN have been designed to support DIMMs based on 512 Mbit technology for a maximum onboard capacity of up to 3 GB, but this technology has not been validated on this board.

That is indeed an interesting motherboard. That's the chipset I had in mind, 845, and it usually supports only 512MB when used in early P4 motherboards.

As low as $10 shipped here.

Also try http://www.crucial.com that is where I have gotten memory from in the past.

Thanks for the links.
We spotted some 512 MB at $43.

He may order some today.
He has my old Asus FX5200 video card in it, and it can do the games he plays such as World Of Warcraft, UT2005, but in the future we will get a better vid card for it.

I also see on Intels website we can put in a 2.6 GHz 400 FSB processor.
That would wake it up pretty good too.
