What Lights to use?

I got a 90 p/u and i just recently got a double roll bar and I was wanting to mount some lights on top and I was curious what size you guys have been mounting on top, watts, brand, where ya got them ect... I was thinking about putting 4 on it... Does anyone make some GOOD LED or HID kits that are really bright and dont take alot of amps to run? Any info is appreciated..

I run 4-KC 6" SS Daylighters, 150 Watt each on the Rollbar, 2-KC 6" SS Long Range, 130Watt each and 2-KC 6" SS Fogs, 100 Watt each on the Front. For Headlights, I have Cibie "Z" Beams 55 / 65 Watt each and rear Rollbar lights are Cibie 35 Series, 55 Watt each. I have a big enough alternator to run everything at the same time. Each light group is designed for excellent light pattern not the most power. By using different light combinations I try to produce beam patterns that simulate driving in daylight. I would recommend Hella headlights, 55/60 Watt and a set of their 55 Watt Fog lights to start with. Remember, light pattern not light power. There was a great Tech series / article in Mini Truck Magazine many years ago about lights, maybe they could open their archives and send a copy to you. Good luck with your project.

The VixionX lights are sweet and talk to Topher because he was going to become a vendor for them.

Lightforce > anything else

search for Lightforce on youtube - there are some amazing demonstrations of how tough they are. Also, more light for less wattage.

I use all 6" Daylighters, 150 Watt each on the Rollbar. I want the light to be far out in front then I use my front 6" long range, 6" fog lights and headlights to fill the lower front. I run a Chevrolet 1-wire 160 Amp heavy duty alternator. I do not know what they cost today but Summit, Jegs and others can supply one to you, I am not familiar with the Lightforce units, I am old school, but it does not matter what brand you use as long as they have quality lights that produce various light patterns.
