Problems mounting Warn solenoid to ARB bumper
I am having a clearance issue mounting the soleniod pack for a Warn M8000 winch to my ARB bumper. The bumper came with a gold tone painted bracket to mount the solenoid pack but the top edge of the solenoid base frame is hitting my grille. Any body else have this problem? I really don't want to drill new holes in the bracket. If I have to cut into the grill fine, but before I do I want to make sure I'm not missing something obvious. I fastened the bumper using the stock frame mounting locations so the bumper shouldn't be sitting too close to the grill

I did too with mine so I just turned the box sideways and bolted it to the bumper with the stud on the back of the box. I have seen others make it work but this work better for me since I have my plate upfront on a magnetic strip.

Phil,
I looked into this a bit more. When you say you turned the box sideways, does that mean the big "W" on is cover is now horizontal? Because the way my box wants to mount right now makes the "W" lay on its side vertically. Looks like I need to fab up some now mounting plates.

Though mine is a early 90s TJM, I mounted mine inside and mounted the switchplug through the bumper so that ugly box is out of sight and not interfering with headlights or airflow.

Now tell me is your "W" on the cover of the soleniod pack horizontal or vertical?

I bought my bumper used and it had a hole that I could use. But yes that may be what you have to do. I assumed the bumper already had those holes. Yours may not.
