Hello all wondering if anyone has any input in these lunchbox lockers?
They are very reasonably priced, and all over ebay.
There seems to be a standard and "no-slip", The "no-slip" being about $125.00
more expensive but offering quieter operation.

The people I have talked to that run the no-slip have some pretty high praise. It sounds like it behaves almost identically to a full detroit locker.

Biggest issue IMHO is that it still uses the stock carrier which CAN be a weak point in the diff. Both the Detroit locker and ARB carriers are significantly stronger than stock.

the powertrax "no slip" is almost identical to the lockright but is quieter and more streetable. i love my lockright. all kind of depends on what you want to spend. lots of info out there on them just search lockright or locker

Thanks guys, That's what I wanted to hear. I've got 91 w/31's and soon to be a set of 4.56 diffs... thought it would be an opportune time to add a locker too. Pretty tired of getting stuck bc one of my rears is in the air... which seems to be all too often on the trail.

That is the single most over used phrase on this board, and it annoys me. I don't think that always true either. Have you had a Powertrax No Slip fail on you? If so (and only then) are you really qualified to make that statement. No Slips are nearly the price of a full Detroit (minus install), so that statement doesn't even really apply.

Theoretically, a lunchbox locker could crack a carrier, but in all the research I did on lunchbox lockers, I think I came across one instance where this happened.

Sure, a Detroit is stronger, but the important question is whether or not the Powertrax is strong enough? Almost certainly.

i had a lockrite and it worked great, i had no problems out of it

X2, same here, I like the lockright!

I actually broke a pin though. But i also drove 30ish miles on a broken rear axle shaft, so idk that might have had something to do with it.
