Arp knuckle studs or 5th stud mod?
So this past weekend I headed for the desert and happened to break all 4 of my passenger knuckle studs hitting a washout. Would I be better off getting the ARP stuf kit or getting stock replacement studs and doing the 5th stud mod?

Interesting discussion going on over at NW-wheelers as well with lots of info
I am going to be going ARP studs, and thats it. A buddy I wheel with has only ARP studs and a 302 and doesn't break anything. The key, I am finding, is to check torque before every run and make sure everything is tight. The cause of most of the failures seems to be loose nuts.

Both. I upgraded to ARP's 2 years ago and still have had issues with them loosening up and striping the knuckles. DIRTCO has done both and has never had an issue with them loosening. I bought the Longfield 5th studs and plan on installing them sometime this week!
