Jim, I had to cut only two small openings on each side, one to allow the light brackets and another one for the lamp's wires. Thanks for the comments!!

California, I used two steel rods from the steel section at my local Home Depot. Then, I bent them as needed. What you want is to build the strongest bracket possible. What you want is to eliminate any possible vibration from the lamps, other wise the bulbs wont last. I,ll check and see if I have additional pictures, if I do I'll post them.
