Rancho 5000's?

Hi guys,
I'm new here and to off-roading in general. Great site, BTW.
I have a '94 4Runner and I want just a small (inexpensive) suspension lift that will hopefully accommodate the 33" BF KO's I plan on getting. I've only been in the mud with it a few times but found I love it and want to go more often...and to finally conquer the local waterhole that's been beating me. I really don't plan on being hardcore but still would like a slight rise in the truck. Anyways, I have 31 x 10.50 x 15's on it now and Rancho 5000's underneath. My plan is to order the rear 2" coil spacers and front 1 1/2" ball joint spacers from the guy at www.4crawler.com (if anyone is familiar with him). I want to know if my current Rancho's will be alright and how the 33's will fit. I was going to stick with 33 x 10.50's instead of the larger 12.50's (if anyone think that's a good idea).
I also want to know what else I might have in-store for me, things I'll have to change as part of the mod...I hear that brake lines are an issue as.
Any input will be really helpful.

Yes your shock will stand 33". so will your 4Runner with no lift. just get NEW coils like these and you'll have no worries. There are a couple of us here on Yotatech that run 33" tires on stock size suspension. so no lift is REQUIRED but it is recommended by alot of people. And most new coils you order come with the brake line extension. i know Performance Products and All Pro Off Road do.

First, 4crawler is a helluva guy - great products and even better customer service. I have his sliders

BUT ... you don't need either of those to fit 33x10.50 - just bolt em on. Wellll, if you have the saggy butt like every other 2nd gen runner, you might need the rear spacers or new springs (I used the Eibach ones). If you just fix the sag, you don't need new brake lines.

I had RS5000's on my old truck and liked them a lot, however, there are some who don't like how they ride.

It will be hard to fit true 33x12.50's without rubbing on a 2" lift. 33x10.50's will work but they look tall for their width. 32x11.50's fit nice though. Here is a write up on my 2" lift with ome torsion bars, 901-HD coils, 1.5 spacers, PB drop bracket and slightly longer Rancho 5000's. I'm still running 31x10.50's until I can find some wheels I like to mount my 32's on.

Thanks for your help guys...I really appreciate it.
So, I thought I could fit the 33's without a lift but I wasn't positive. Now, it's just deciding if I should still go with the rear spacers or just get new springs. I'm way up here in Canada where everything seems to be more expensive and I'll probably be spending about a grand or so on my tires already. I'd like to achieve my small lift and be as cost effective about it as I can. Shipping to here from the U.S. is a bit of an obstacle too...either it isn't offered or it costs me a left nut.The guy at 4crawler is good...he'll only charge me $200 for front and rear spacers and $23 for the shipping. But, do I really need the front spacers? 4crawler says they're 1 1/2" in the front and 2" in the rear. Was kinda hoping adding all that would fix the sag a little and give me an inch or so. Maybe it's best to just get the rear spacers and crank the torsion bars up a little to get an extra inch in the front?
I really like how your truck sits James Dean. I read your page and I can use it as a great guideline to follow. Don't know if things will be that cost effective for me up here in the great white north though.
Getting the 2 inches all around and losing the sag would be ideal.

It takes 1.5" or so to get rid of the sag - the rear spacers will level you out nicely - maybe a slight rake.

Thanks for the quick response tc and the other advice. I think I'm gonna go with the spacers from 4crawler. I may just go ahead and order the rears and fronts as I originally planned...I don't wanna kick myself later for not ordering the fronts in case I do need'em. 4 Crawler does call them a good combination.
My main concern is that there's not going to be any surprises (brake lines or whatever else) after installing the spacers. I already have my lovely wife convinced that I need the spacers to fit the 33's...anything more than that would result in a little chat.

You won't need the brake lines.

The BJ spacers help with more droop travel if you dial the tbars down to match the rear.
