advice on removing some lift on 97 Tacoma

Hi guys, I have a 97 Tacoma with a 6" block lift with only one rubber isolator per block....Should there be 3? One on top and on bottom and one under perch mount? It has 31" tires and looks horrible. Rides like crap.

Looking for advice on dropping it back down. Which route do you think I should take? Back down to stock or a 2" booster lift. Will these tires fit under a stock height tacoma?

Should I go with rubber isolators or polyurathane? Any kit recommened? Thanks for any help.

is it 4x4 or 2wd? prerunner? they would fit on a 4x4 or a prerunner, but i dont think they would on a regular 2wd. You could find the stock springs and stuff from a dismantler for cheap if you want to put it back to stock. or you could buy a set of 2" lift springs for the rear, and crank stock torsion bars up front.

since downey closed i'm not sure about where to get little kits like that. sorry. try Old Man Emu. I bet they would have something.

i would stay away from block lifts no matter how small, but that's me.

Revtek maybe?

I can't say much about removing the blocks but i know 31s will fit stock height.

Daystar has a budget 2.5 inch lift that only costs about $160. It has longer shackles in the rear and coilspring spacers up front. It far from the "ideal" lift but it works.

Here's a photo of a 2 inch lift with 31s

Thanks guys....it is a 4x4....not sure how to tell if its a prerunner.

Looks like they just put blocks under the truck with no other pieces. The truck has no suspension what so ever. After the advice looks like I will be going down to stock. Might use the fork truck at work to lower. The bed looks easy. The cabin probably is going to be a struggle.

If its a 4x4, it is NOT a PreRunner. The prerunners are simply 4x2s that sit up tall like a 4x4.

so your truck only has 6" blocks in the rear??? are you sure it does not have either a 6" fabtech or trailmaster lift in the front??? it seems kinda like it wouldnt make since for someone to put such a huge block out back abd not touch the front suspension. it also seems like you would have some serious rake going on. lol you should post some pics so everyone can see

I bet it has the typical drop bracket lift in the front. If you post a picture of your front crossmember/diff, and your rear springs we would be able to help you out a little more.
