Don't try to shove the pedal to the floor, just light pressure as if you were shifting while driving.

Was not sure it posted. My husband has bled the clutch. Replaced the motor and this was not happening before. Put in new clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing and clutch wants to grind a little when trying to put in gear. Only has a little cup to put oil in that goes to a metal line that goes to slave cylinder. There is not rubber line to crimp off. This is for a 94 Toyota 4x4 P/UP 3.0 3VZE. Any suggestions on what to try or do or what could be making this happen?

There should be a short 6-12" rubber hose in the clutch line. Usually close to the slave(transmission) end, down at the bottom. This allows for engine movement, which is separate from the frame/body of the truck. If you don't have any flexible line between the clutch master and slave, you have other issues. And if its grinding a little when changing gears, that could easily be an air problem. Be sure it's thoroughly bled...

In this day it is so possible to have received the wrong parts in the clutch kit box.
It is also a good idea to just put all new hydraulics when putting in a new clutch.
On some years the rubber clutch hose is above the steel line coming off the slave cylinder looking up follow the steel line you should see it.
There needs to be some flex between the body and the transmission in that line or it will break.
