yes charleston sucks, little town with nothing in it, and it stinks!
only thing good about it is the store "davy jones locker". its the only place you can get hard a when every other liquor store is closed lol.

LOL...that is like the coolest store ever! I've been to that store at least a hundred times. I used to camp at Bastendorf...pretty cool campground.

I'm going to guess that the way you broke the ring was trying to spin it on by hand.

Using this method is very risky and likely to break at least one ring.

Problem is that you can't see that you've deformed some or all of the others, possibly to the point that they will break in service.

If you did use this method I would strongly recommend getting the proper ring spreading tool and use it.

And always check the ring gaps.

yes your right.. except ive built a few motors and never used a ring tool. and this is the first time ive had any problems. little did i know that my dad has one so i think im gonna start using it lol. i only spin on the lil oil rings becouse your not supposed to use the ring tool on the oil rings. as for the two compression rings i spread them by hand.. just went to far this time. i always check the end gap also.. and grind if needed.
