Lift kits for solid axle trucks
I am starting to look at lifts for my 85 p/u. Id like pics and a description of what you have and how you like it.

What do you want to do? How are you going to use your rig?
2 best options for a more serious rock crawling rig are:
1. cheapest rears up front and chevy's in back.
2. one of the long travel kist from Marlin or All Pro that comes with hysteer.

probably the more expensive way, I want a ton of flex and the ability to fit 35s. I probably will take it to uwharrie and greyrock. I was wanting to see how much flex people get with the lifts. I also want to hear people say if the full marlin or trailgear kits are worth it.

I have seen both and am deciding which way i want to go with the 2 i have and the kits are totally worth it if you have the money, I am going with the ROF and chevy thing cause it is cheep and has just as good flex. I will probably spending $150 on the lift and then what ever i can get a hysteer for. Do a search on lifts and it should bring up a lot of info on them. Wabbit has a good info on his build up thread and there are others i cant think of right now.

Youll probally want to change shocks and shock locations.. .just like it if you were going to a 56" leaf from trail gear or marlin.. The chevies do not provide much lift at all, most have shackles of death and blocks to match the front...

The kits are worth it as it makes things a lot easier. Fabbing it all up yourself or piecing stuff together just ends up costing you more in time and labor, and searching for parts, even if you save money on materials. No need to reinvent the wheel IMO. Most of the kits, I know the ones I sell do, give you everything you want/need in one package.
