Help! identify leftover part after rebuild
82 4X4 pickup- had this part left after rebuild. Anyone, where does this clip go in the engine? 22R stock engine except for a new EPN crawler cam.

Here's my philosophy on "extra" parts...
Did it run before the rebuild with the "extra" part?
Does it run after the rebuild without the "extra" part?
If you answer yes to both questions then you can throw it in the "extra" parts bin!
I have a couple buckets dedicated to unnecessary parts that I have ripped off my truck! 1st gens are loaded with said parts! You should always keep the parts though...you never know when you may need a random Jap nut or bolt.

I'm thinking it's something for the carburetor, maybe a support or something. I know for a FACT that my 22re does not have anything that looks like that inside the engine or out.
