I was thinking of swapping my SR5 seats with either some from a Lexus SUV or a LandCruiser or maybe even a cars seats. Anyone ever done that? Anyone know if the LandCruisers seats will fit? Measurements?

 

I've heard Acura Integra seats can be made to fit fairly easily... not sure if that's the 93 and earlier Integra, or 94 and up.

You can probably find info on it with a google search.

 

im sure that you could even try doing a search here on the board. and i am sure that others will chim in also.

 

I've been checking into this too--I'm too tall and am interested in putting a Lexus seat such as an ES300 electric. I have also found that on newer civics recaro made there seats--let me know what you find.--if you have the rear heater it might be a problem on the passenger side....

 

i think i recall seeing something about swapping seats out of a tacoma for seats from a volvo. it was either on tacomaterritory.com or customtacos.com. sorry i dont have the link right off the top of my head, but look in either of those two forums. the install didnt look tooo complicated from what i remember

I remember seeing pics of Celica GTS seats in a Tacoma also.

 

A guy up here swapped out the saddles for a set from a celica. (power seats) and another guy I heard of threw in a pair of after-market sport seats. The only limiting factor seems to be the rails if you had the 60/40 the driver's side rails are too wide.
I myself am waiting on a pair of SR5 saddles for my baby. (with rails ) hope this helps Aviator

 

I had a Tacoma with the 60/40 seats and they sucked. Many on TTORA had swapped seats from other cars, but they weren't a direct swap. They had cut the mounts from thier old seats and welded them to the new seats.
