Sputter sputter smoke...bye bye gas

After my new motor went in my truck ran geat. I replaced plugs, wires cap and rotor. now after getting about 2k miles on it im starting to worry. When cold the truck sputters like crazy and sounds like its missing.I have spark at all cylinders and the plugs show a rich condition.I cleaned em up and ran it same thing the next morning. My gasmilage sucks now and when i got it going i was getting insane milage. Now im filling up every 2 days and driving an avarage of 30-40 miles a day. I just did all the fluids and started winterizing so i wanna get this squared away. I picked up some new plugs(ngk iridum) thinking they might help but i dont want to foul them. anything else i can check maybe adjust the fuel at idle? It seems to smoke and sputter and suck gas at idle worse then when driving...thanks guys

Sorry couldnt find the thread to add that. Its a 22r its carbed and hotter plugs still didnt help any.The gas is almost too responsive. If i let out its like it died but the trucks still running and slowing the same just a paint to drive. I checked out a few things. Heres the weird part. The truck seems to run fine sometimes mainlyon the highway. At idle it acts like a misfire but you can pull a plug off and it doesnt change. One at a time i went through the wires and no change at all...its like all the plugs are misfiring. We tried timing it and nothing changed even if it was more advanced or retarded. Im so lost and have replaced about everything i can think of.
New
plugs wires cap and rotor.Plugs from stock gap to gapped hotter, platnum and non
carb gasket when the motor went in and again after that cause it didnt seal the first time and caused a vacume leak
fuel pump
fuel filter
air filter
checked all the lines and replaced 2 stuck one way valves in vacume lines(not sure what they were for but replced em cause they werent working right)

Carb spacer?

I have an extra spacer for the carb and was lookng at it..Its possible to stack 2 together and have it seal.I have been figting a running issue at idle now and im starting to think it might have something to do with that gasket. What kinds of gains would i see by adding another plate in there? Has anyone done this? I have sttn them for jeeps and muscle cars and even 22re's for the intake manifold or T-body. Would it be worth a shot to try? Im looking to get as much power as i can with out braking the motor open yet.

Thanks
