I'll give you a bump. I use the same cb and have it mounted the same exact way. It works great! Just take out your ash tray and there you go. People tell me it looks almost factory mounted this way. Not a bad price either.

 

BTW how did you like the PA speaker (loud?) and where did you mount it?

 

loved the pa speaker, my friends loved it too, lol. Mounted it behind the bumper on the vertical beam that is in front of the radiator, very loud, you could hear it from inside with the windows up going 60mph
