Does anybody know if rear leaf springs off a 85 4-Runner fit a 87 truck?

would that give some lift since the 4runners would be heavier in the rear? i just picked up a trailer made out of an 81 or 82 shortbed... and now i want to lift it.

Yes, they will fit. I don't think there is any spring rate difference between the pickups and 4Runners. That is why the 4Runners all suffer from butt-sag

If you want a little lift use the rears off of a 2WD truck. They have a little more arch since the 2WDs are SUA while the 4WDs are SOA. So mounted SOA you've got lift.

they also sit about 1' lower than a 4x4.....and a SOA is only about 4-5" worth..not sure it would lift your rig at all, probally lower it.

the 2wd springs fit but they will lower the truck about an inch or so, they are a softer spring, i did an soa on a lifted 2wd and gained about 5-6 inches of lift, the lift is simply the diameter of the axel and spring thickness, not really anything to do with the springs.
