modifying rear bumper with tire carrier

I want an off road rear bumper and tire carrier for my runner but I don't want to start from scratch building one. Any suggestions on what bumper I can modify to do this? Something pretty heavy duty and easy to get would be best...

At first I thought you meant how could you mod your stock bumper. My bad.

I was also thinking about this the other day. I wonder how differant the rear tire carrier bumpers are for the cheeroke sports than ours? Would it just mean cutting off the brackes and welding new brackets on and some side wings? I am gonna look into this.

I was thinking maybe get a TJM rear bumper or something similar to start with and then add the tire carrier myself. I was hoping someone has already done this and could give some advice.

TJM does not make a rear for a 3rd gen to my knowledge. I was thinking about an aftermarket like warn... for a rear from a Jeep.

The warn bumpers look pretty good. Thanks for the suggestion. I'm going to contact them and get some info on size and mounting.

Thanks Bob but the CBI link does not work. Does anyone actually have one of these on a 3rd gen? I am not seeing any pics.

Do not think we are talking about the same thing. Maybe?
