Amazing what a nice deck will do

So i just finished installing an older pioneer premier deh-920p deck in my buddies sebring... and damn, i'm jealous of the sound.. it transformed a regular car radio into a STEREO... it sounds damn awesome... it's 45wx4, 6.5v pre outs... 15 band EQ... the thing has so many damn options.
Well anyways, what i want to know, is how the hell does this thing sound SO good, even compared to my pioneer dehp-7500 with infinity speakers... mang... gonna sound even better when i plug the PPI amp and kicker sub this week... dangg......

hahaha gotta love the peak ratings on the decks...lol My deck supposedly puts out 60x4 too, but I still am using a 25w x 2 RF100g2 (circa 2000) amp to push my mids and highs and couldnt be happier.

btw the reason it sounds good in the sebring is because that car has an oem amp pushing the mids and highs and now the pioneer allows a LOT of fine tuning. And since the high level outputs going to the amp are a lot stronger than the OEM deck neither the pioneer nor the OEM amp are pushed as hard, thus less clipping and better sound.

Yeah, the deck ratings are so stupid. Tell me how you can put out 60x4 out of something as small as a deck and yet not melt the entire dash! I'm sure the amp builders would LOVE to know that.

that is one thing i will never understand. especially on higher end decks, like my old (and current) sony MOBILE ES decks.

they never had any amplicafication on them. which was the nice thing. they can cram other goodies into it.

I so wish the top of the line decks would have NO internal amplification. Thankfully I can turn the internal amp on my 9835 off!

My buddies alpine i think, or was it a clarion? had a seperate amplifier that he put in the glovebox, the deck had no power coming out of it... (except pre outs)
