Rear lift for 4Runner
Is it pretty easy to drop out the stock rear coils for OME 891's? Do most people just disconnect all of the links and let the axle drop down? Do you have to disconnect all of the links?

You do not have to drop any of the links. Disconnect the sway bar and the shocks and you are good. You may need to have someone push down on the axle to get it to droop far enough though. If that doesn't work, disconnect the panhard rod.

A set of rented coil spring compressors from Autozone also came in handy both times I worked on my rear suspension. The might not be neccesary if you disconnect everything, but if you just disconnect the shocks and lower the axle then you'll probably need them to get the 891s in easily.

i put a 3inch spacer on top of my stock springs, i didnt diconnect anything except for the factory bump stops, (took off) and then used spring compressors from autozone, I dont know how much easier it would have been to disconnect everything.. but theres my .02

I shoved my LC coils and 1.5" spacers in 2 weeks ago w/o a spring compressor, so if your just putting in 891's, you'll be fine.

Hold up the frame on jackstands, and drop the axle down with a floor jack. The springs will literally fall out... its kinda scary really.

Yea, you answered my questions already.
BTW, I was already planning on doing the Sonoran Panhard Bar, definitely a worth while investment.

I extended my brake line with the addition of another stock like in series. Works like a charm. You also need to extend your e-brake bracket with a little strap, as seen on the left side of this pick (like my new diff armor?).
