How many miles on original 3.0's?

I'm going on Friday to look at an 88 X-cab 4x4 V6 with 260k on the clock, the headgasket was done in the early 90's due to the recall. I was just curious how many miles you guys have on your 3vze's. Paul

There's a thread called "how many miles does everyone have"
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f123/how-many-miles-does-everyone-have-4255/

Browse through that and you'll get a good idea.

I have a little over 190K, and other than needing my valves shimmed, the engine and drivetrain are excellent. You said the one you are looking at is 5spd- even better.
Best of luck

233,000 miles, runs like new, doesn't burn oil, no slck in the driveline. Took it in for a timing belt a year ago & they couldn't find anything else to fix (at a dealer). Yup it is a 3.0 with the 5 spd

Had a 3.0 auto 93 with 184k. Zero leaks, burned a little oil, ran well, would do 90+ on the freeway without much hesitation

~207,000
1994 SR5 5 speed. Head gasket done on recall at about 100,000, timing belts, water pumps replaced, seals, etc, every 60-80K. Mobil1 since the second oil change with a few dino oil changes here and there. Valve adjustments three times, IIRC. Maintenance is cheaper than repairs.

I helped a friend buy it new and ended up with it at about 25,000 miles. Most of the miles are highway miles. Light offroad use now and then, mostly for exploring and back country camping.

89 3.0L 4runner with 450k on it. It has a burnt valve, but other than that, it still runs fine.

My old '89 3.0 had 287,000 before the head gasket started to leak, it was amazing, original HG!

Take Care!
