I was thinking about selling my truck. But I decided to try a tranny swap. I have a 22re with a manual tranny and 4wd. I want the 22re with an AUTO tranny and 4wd. Does anyone know if an auto tranny out of a 2wd will work for this swap? If so how would the T case mount to it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 

no, the 2wd tranny won't work. You need an A340 4wd tranny. The t-case is integrated on these units.

I need to put an auto tranny into it so my wife can drive it while I am deployed to Iraq. She is too stubborn to learn a stick, and I don't want it to sit for a year untouched. I don't want to sell it if I don't have to.
