anyone know if this is an oem part?

mine does not have the solid part like that, but what i have may very well be an aftermarket antenna.

The picture you have is a OEM part, the long part bolts to the inner fender and keeps the antenna from twisting in the fender.

I have this antenna if you are interested in it? Free just pay the shipping... from a 92 pickup... the antenna broke off because the truck rolled but you could buy another antenna for it...

it looks like the cable is cut - i don't see the end the plugs into the back of the radio. does it have the little rubber grommet that seals up the hole where the cable runs into the cabin?

A couple members (including myself) have bought this exact antenna from the eBay seller 'oki999' http://cgi.ebay.com/Antenna-Toyota-P...ayphotohosting
The guy must have an endless supply of them because i bought mine months ago and hes still selling them every week.

wow i just noticed he has a 99.9% rating, 999 in his name, and has 666 feedbacks. weird.

Hey Rocket, is his replacement a power version or not? Either I replace mine with that or I use my firestik as a radio antenna, too...

oh yeah... the 2 pics he shows are really crappy but if you want, i can try and find wherever i put mine and take a pic for ya. Either way, the antenna you'd get from him will be a perfect replacement in the original package. You can't get much better than that!

It's not a power version. I actually bought one just to get rid of my power antenna.

hold the phone, it's not a perfect replacement. i bought one and received it about 10 days ago. it's a generic antenna that has the proper contours for mounting to the fender, but it doesn't have the rubber grommet to plug the hole and prevent water from entering the cabin and it doesn't have the metal post that is directly below the antenna to keep it from swaying back and forth. i was disappointed and hence am still looking.

hmm...if i understand what your talking about mine came with both those "parts".
It has the rubber grommet and the rest is just like any other straight/fixed antenna.
i dunno, maybe you got a bunk deal?

in the above pic which is an oem antenna, there is the grommet at the top of the picture and the metal part that is inside of the fender well. the one that i was sent doesn't have either.
