Along with 285/75/16 tires. This combo a workable choice?

I was considering those as well, I still may. I just love the look of the 285's on the taco. I also have no plans to regear this particular truck and do quite a bit of driving, I was thinking the 285's would be a tad better on gas?

there might be a possibility that you would rub with 285s. not sure though

Are you dead set in getting the cornfeds? sacrficing ride quality ok?

Im not trying to be condesending at all, just want you to be happy with the final outcome!

If you have front CVs a 3" lift is really going to threaten those boots even if you do a diff drop.

Not dead set, no. Do you have any suggestions? I am open. Due to what its worth for me and this truck, I am pretty set on a spacer lift, however.

I like this look, he claims 33x12.5, not sure if he rubs.

you'll do better w/ 4.5" of backspacing. the lower the backspacing, the more the wheels sticks out from the hub. the more the wheel sticks out, the more chance to rub on the frame, firewall, and front bumper on a stuff and also more stress on the front wheel bearings.

I didn't know that. I've always presumed that the farther the tire sticks out, the less chances of rubbing, especially on the frame. That's why I'm planning on adding 1/4" spacers so the 4" BS that are currently on my truck will "effectively" become 3.75" BS (I'm having a hard time looking for 3.75 BS wheels that will complement my truck's beauty).) I guess I'll have to do more thinking then..

But I do agree on the addtl stress on the bearings.

yeah... d'oh, 4.5" BS do not rub on the frame, but with less than 4.25" of BS, you'll rub on the firewall and pinch weld and bumper.

the more BS you have (over 4.5"), you get rubbing on the frame.

Bamachem, do you rub the frame at all at full lock with the 4.5 BS?
