how useful is the bed in a double cab Taco????

i'm looking at the last gen tacoma (not the current)and i am wondering how useful the bed is, it looks very small. my main reason is that if i get the truck i am considering getting a dirtbike, so that would need to fit in the bed. so would it fit? maybe w/ the gate down???

i def. wouldn't mind the room of the double cab seeing that my buddies and i will take trips snowboarding and mountain biking, etc etc otherwise i'm just going w/ the extended cab. thanks fella's

put the bike in at a 45 degree angle it will fit ... or if you want to do two bikes, then drop the gate.

It'll fit fine dropping the gate. I've never tried the 45 degree angle bit, but with the wheelwell right there, I can't imagine how it would fit?????

I like mine 04. Only reason I'm selling it is to put money towards a house.

If you are going to haul anyone, get the Double Cab and just buy a trailer for hauling. Simple as that....

I have to drop the gate on my extra-cab to get 2 bikes to fit. Get the larger bed or get a trailer. (unless they are girly bikes, then they might fit )

The bed on the double cab is really small. I agree with the trailor idea. I don't think you could fit a full size bike even with the tailgat down and a bed extender. I would measure the bike to see. We put a topper on my wifes dcab because it makes a better trunk than a bed.

If you're going to get a trailer you might as well just get a 4Runner instead??
