How tight can exhaust valves be with before they burn.

I pulled the valve cover and measured the valve lash on the drivers side and found that the lash is as follows.

from front to back of the drivers side.

IN EXH - IN EXH - IN EXH
.009 .011 - .011 .009 - .009 .008

The last exhaust valve has me very worried. Is there any chance I have already done damage to that valve? The engine seems to run ok but I have had a noise in that area that sound like an exhaust leak. I can not find one though. The measurements were taken after the engine sat overnight at about 45 degress.

Should I be worried or am I freaking out over nothing.

what's the spec for exhaust valve lash? if it's below spec, then yes, you should adjust valve lash, which may mean re-shimming (please excuse my ignorance as to what type of valve adjustment the 3.0L has ). typically, you run more lash on the exhaust because they run hotter, as i'm sure you already know.

.009 to .013 is the within spec range for the exhaust valve. .007 to .011 is for the intake. So im only 1 thousandths out of spec. But its on the low side. If it was out on the high side of the range I would not worry about it.

what really has me worried is that its cylinder number six exhaust valve that is too tight. This is the hottest valve in the motor.

Yeah I've read that the valve being tight will make it burn. I'd have it re-shimmed. That's pretty cheap compared to a new top end.

I'd get it fixed, I burnt up #6. Or you can leave it, let it burn then put in O/S valves

That's not tight enough to burn a valve. However, it is time for a valve adjustment. Good luck!
