Harlan County, KY Trails

Was told about a new trail in Kentucky over the weekend. Did some searching on the web & sounds like a nice place! Check out some of the links or if you've been there, let us know what you thought!

Links:

And saw a link to the KY chapter of TTORA somewhere, maybe one of them will post...

Anyways, since I searched here & found nothing, just wanted to pass the word!

And btw, we might be making a stop there late Sept. early Oct.

Cheers!
Eric

It's a new park, and only one of our guys have been down there. He said he had a good time and wouldn't hesitate going back. We've only had 2 official runs, and they were both to Livingston.

Livingston is closed to ATVs, dirtbikes, and non-licensed vehicles. You have to have a licensed, street legal vehicle to use the trails. It was my understanding that many of the ATV and dirtbikers were causing problems down there. So, for the safety of everyone, they banned them.

Hey, I just tracked the link back from here and want to say thanks.

The "Bloody Harlan" reference goes back to our darker history of the 1930s when a union mine strike got violent.

Hope you guys come and visit some time this year. Our local 4x4 club, the Kentucky Mountain Crawlers, (www.kymc.org) are planning a huge even for Memorial Day weekend so that may be a good opportunity for you guys to join a large group of riders from all over.

Thanks again.
