Warn M8000 winch install question

Alright guys....stupid winch question here...I have a Warn M8000 that I am installing on my truck. I do not have the instructions. I have the control box hooked up....I just don't see where the + and - wires go that come from the battery. Please point in the right direction. Thanks!

Try this, its the M8000 owners guide from the Warn site.

The long red cable (72 inch) that comes out of the solenoid box goes to the battery "+".

The long black cable (72 inch) goes from the ground screw on the motor to the battery "-".

Thanks guys....but that is not quite it...MT Goat...Where do the cables connect on the other end! I know they are red + and Black -...but where do they connect on the control box???? Piett....that is more info than I have found...but that still did not show where the cables connect in the box! I am just going to have to have someone take a pic of there control box with the cover off it. If there is ANYONE out there that has a M8000 and is willing to take the cover off of the control box and snap a pic.......PLEASE email it to me!!!! Thanks again!

My M8000 came with the cables already connected to the solenoid box. So your's are not already connected to the box huh?

Mine is inside my TJM bumper so it's very hard to get a look at it without taking the bumper off.

Check this thread, Roger took the pic from the box of his x9000. He is probably the best source for dealing with this also.

Yep, look at that picture and open up the control box. Inside are 4 relays that are wired in a bridge connection. Think of a baseball diamond, Ground at home plate, 12V connected to 2nd base then 1st base and 3rd base should have wires that run down to the winch motor. The way the relays work is that for one direction, the relays between 2nd and 1st and home and 3rd connect sending 12V to 1st and Ground to 3rd. Switch them the other way and you have 2nd-3rd connected and home-1st which send 12V to 3rd and ground to 1st, making the motor run the other way.
