New coils, new problems

i just put in my OME901 coils and got 2.25 lift out of them in the rear of my 92 4runner. my before the new coils measurement(fender to ground) was even on each side, now 1 side is 1/4"-1/2" taller than the other and the axel isnt centered anymore. The rubber seat on top of the coil has slightly bunched on both but i an not sure as to that being the cause of my problem. Any input as to what i might want to try to level it out. As far as the axel being outta whack in 1 direction i have a few questions-a.) is it safe to drive as is b.) where can i buy a drop down bracket for the trac bar?

I think the reason why one spring is taller than the other is to compensate for weight issues on the passenger side versus the drivers. I think I put the longer one in the pass. side. Get a 1.5" drop bracket now...I got the same coils and haven't done the bracket yet but plan to when I can get the money. The 1.5" isn't gonna hurt ya at all as far as being off center...anything over 2" I would consider it a done deal in getting the bracket.

Y2K,

Got my pan hard drop bar from Steve at sonoransteel.com. I got the bolt on. He also sells the weld on bracket. The only thing is, you have to send him your old bar to get the core charge ($150.00) back. I have a 97 4Runner SR5 4x4 Option.

my coil springs actually gave me over 2" of lift in the rear. i was told that the downey 3"+ one is that one that will do the trick for me... so im banking on it.

that should work for you. You didn't mention extended brake line ...make sure that gets done. Did you extend your sway bar end links also? that's another thing.

forgot one other thing....the porportioning valve bracket.
If you're raising the driver side mount of Pan hard bar then it'll go up with it. If you're droping the passenger side, then you need to bring that up 2" cause you are not doing a lot of braking in the back.

Nope, Downey has the brake proportioning valve relocation bracket too. Comes with their rear lift package for the 2nd gen 4Runners. Should be able to order one of those to go with your panhard drop bracket.
